About:

The Climate Protection Plan 2050 and the Climate Protection Programme 2030 from 2019 envisage a GHG reduction of -40 to -42% for transport by 2030 compared to 1990. In the presentation, the development of local public transport is categorised in the context of achieving these targets and an expansion scenario for local public transport up to 2030 is developed. The financial requirements for this expansion scenario are estimated. Various instruments are proposed at municipal level to cover the requirements, such as the employer levy, CO2 pricing or a city toll.
