Based on pricing scenarios for short and long-term parking, changes in journey times and modal shift effects are estimated. In addition, market-orientated pricing of resident parking can trigger impulses for the abolition of cars. This reduces the need for parking spaces and the modal choice shifts from private cars to alternative mobility options. It would also reduce CO2 emissions.
