About:

The Trans-European Networks for Transport (TEN-T) contribute to positive economic development in the EU. If the TEN-T were not built in accordance with the TEN-T guidelines (EU Regulation 1315/2013), this would weaken economic growth and employment in the EU. Using the ASTRA economic model, we have estimated the loss of GDP from 2015 to 2030 at around 3,000 billion euros. Around 11 million years of employment will be lost over the same period. The GDP multiplier calculated for the TEN-T is 6, i.e. every euro invested would generate 6 euros of additional GDP.
